I know a lot my readers are devout Christians and some of
them might even follow the Old Testament. Heck, a lot of my friends and family
do. I mean, I do live in Tennessee. I don't want to offend anyone and please feel free to share your opinions by commenting below. But, I was shocked by 80's heartthrob Kirk
Cameron statement's on Piers Morgan's show calling homosexuality “detrimental
and destructive” and that he would not accept one of his children coming home
gay to him’. And today, The Ellen Show contained a lesbian couple who almost
lost their baby at birth because they did not have the same legal rights that
straight couples do.
The mother that gave birth to the baby, had to have an emergency cesarean; and the baby needed to have paper's signed by a guardian to be put on life support. However, the other mother did not have legal rights. The baby almost died! Luckily, the birth mother was able to sign the paper, however, that meant having a C-section done without anesthesia. That is surgery!!!! THAT IS PAINFUL!!! She endured excruciating pain to save their baby!

As with Cameron’s statement on
Pier’s Morgan’s show, I 110% emphatically disagree with it! However, I must
admit, that I do believe in free speech itself and he can believe and preach
whatever he feels. Although, as a psychology major I have read cases of
homosexuals, both gay and lesbian, who have lived a miserable life, which
resulted in their horror and depression because they were coerced to become
someone that they weren't! I have also read numerous biological studies that
state homosexuality begins in the womb, however, I have also read studies of
the opposite. I am not a parent, but this is a hypothetical question for
everyone that it has never happened to isn’t it? What would you do if you’re
child came home and said ‘mom/dad…I’m Gay.’
Now, I'm gonna stop before I get into
my view of Cameron’s Christianity view of Homosexuality!
Out of fairness, I will post the
video that shows Kirk Cameron’s words verbatim.
